Organic social content for Zillow
-
As the sole designer on Zillow’s Communications team, with end-to-end creative ownership of the company’s corporate organic social presence, I designed hundreds of graphics for LinkedIn, Instagram and X. Over the course of five years, I translated everything from press releases and economic data to product launches and employee stories into visual content for very different audiences—from industry insiders and investors to consumers, talent, media and policymakers.
Most projects started with a story, not a design brief. I worked closely with our social media manager to identify the strongest angle, write the copy, develop the concept and design the final piece. The work ranged from static graphics and carousels to infographics, maps and product mockups, balancing audience behavior and platform conventions with Zillow’s brand. I also built templates for recurring content like monthly economic data and quarterly earnings, helping the team move at the speed of the newsroom without sacrificing quality or consistency.

A flexible visual system and reusable templates helped us produce timely, high-volume content while maintaining a cohesive brand presence across platforms and audiences.
By the time I left Zillow, its LinkedIn audience had grown to 560K, and the monthly newsletter launched during my tenure had reached 210K subscribers. I also regularly contributed to Zillow for Agents, whose Instagram following grew by 50K during that period.

Zillow’s LinkedIn Newsletter
I designed the header image template and section breakers for our monthly LinkedIn newsletter, distributed on the LinkedIn platform and via email. During my tenure, the newsletter’s subscribers grew from 0 to 210K.
Zillow for Agents - Zillow’s Instagram account for industry insiders
The ZforA account shared tools, resources, product updates and research content with agents and brokers. Compared to Zillow’s consumer-focused Instagram account, @Zillow, the branding for @ZillowforAgents was more professional and reserved. During my tenure, this account gained 50K followers.
Zillow Group Life - Zillow’s employee Instagram account
The Zillow Group Life account shared employee culture, holiday and company awards content for a past, current and future employee audience.
Animations for Zillow on LinkedIn
What started as a workaround when LinkedIn removed native carousel functionality became a go-to format for sharing listicles and data stories that required more space than a single graphic.
