Emmanuel College viewbook
-
I designed Emmanuel College’s first viewbook to be fully created in-house from start to finish—a 52-page admissions publication and the cornerstone of the College’s recruitment materials. I led the creative direction, design and photography art direction, collaborating with the senior content strategist on the editorial content and stakeholders across Communications, Admissions and the Office of the President.
Working within Emmanuel’s existing brand guidelines, I refined the visual language to feel more sophisticated and editorial, moving away from a technicolor aesthetic while retaining the energy needed to connect with prospective students. The design combines large-scale photography, playful typography and unexpected half-page layouts. I also art-directed photoshoots featuring students, faculty and campus spaces to create imagery that felt authentic to the Emmanuel experience.
More than a standalone publication, the viewbook established the design direction for the broader admissions suite—including mailers, brochures, event collateral, signs and posters—creating a cohesive visual experience across the prospective student journey. The finished 9 × 12-inch publication was printed and mailed to prospective students and used at recruitment events.

The viewbook helped Admissions present Emmanuel as a distinctive college with a strong academic experience and a clear connection to Boston. The Admissions office met its goals for the incoming class, and the publication received positive internal feedback for its elevated presentation of the College.
The project also earned a CASE District I Award for Admissions Viewbooks, recognizing the work among outstanding advancement, communications and marketing projects across the North Atlantic region.
